PURPOSE
Our aim is to reform the charity paradigm by promoting a direct link of sharing from one human to another. This means the middle man does not take a cut of your donations, that is, if you donate $100 in food cards to Patrick, Patrick will receive $100 in food cards. With Open Avenue, your donations go directly to your recipient in the form of a pre-paid credit card, food card, or gift card.
The person-to-person poverty relief model relies on the strengthening of interpersonal connections within a community to reduce poverty. Simply, Open Ave Charity is based on individuals directly helping others within their community sphere. Individuals are more likely to help someone if they are within their sphere and even more likely if there is a strong interpersonal bond between them. Open Ave Charity will provide a platform to develop these interpersonal bonds while allowing donors to directly relieve poverty to those in need.
